I’ve been asking myself that question for a long time.

My name is Dee and I live in Portland, Oregon.

I love to create and work with my hands, and I’ll use any and every medium to express myself.

I have been using art to express myself since I was young, though I started to consistently create art in 2021. I have no formal background in art, except for the desire to create. Sometimes I feel like thats really all you need to be an artist.

I am shy, neurodivergent, and anxious. I love to be silly and laugh loudly, but also vulnerable and cry deeply. I love to be in nature and to bird. I have a Master Naturalist Certification from OSU, where I learned to be a steward for the land. Most of my art centers around birds, as themselves, as people, as symbols. Using them and their environment to educate others as well as raise awareness.
